Welcome to Trevor Bailey formerly from Judgeford and new junior member Jacob Orr, grandson of Pam and John Bisset. Say Hi when you see them out on the course.

On Monday 14th June, the Silver team of Pam Bisset, Lindy Wheeler, Colleen Daysh and Deb Henricksen won 3½ - 2½ over Marton at Levin while our District team of Pam Huddleston, Margaret Brislane, Margaret Drysdale and Trish Cuttance had a half with Eketahuna on the challenging Belmont course at Wanganui. Good results, ladies.

The District team play Manawatu next Monday at Castlecliff, team still be finalised. Good Luck. Silver’s next round is also at Castlecliff playing the Rangatira Pink team the following Monday 28th.

The team suffered its first loss of the season, going down 6½ to 11½ to the home side Martinborough on Sunday. Pahiatua is still in the lead in the Marquis Shield and Sutherland Trophy with only one round to go at Mahunga on Sunday 27th June vs Masterton. The team are 4th in the Workman Cup and 2nd in the Intermediate Cup. Our team was Seniors: Kieran Pierey, Noel Coombe, Nigel Pearson and Mark Field; Intermediates: Steven McHardy, Lionel Toheriri, Tony Kerins and Todd McHardy; Juniors: Mark Thomson, Richard Stewart, Mark Hemopo and Todd McHardy. Well done, guys, hanging in there!

Must be some sort of record for the Marquis Shield to have 3 brothers in the same team – Steven and his twin brothers, Logan and Todd McHardy.
