RESERVE SUNDAY 20th JUNE for a Cockies-Stockies tournament sponsored by Tararua Shearing (Lionel and Stephanie Toheriri), more info out soon. Donald & Williams Salvers to be rescheduled.

NEW MEMBERS:

A big welcome to Fiona Smith who has FINALLY joined us here at golf and I look forward to seeing you on the course, Fiona. Please make her welcome when you see her out playing.

Welcome also to Christopher Taylor, say Hi when you see him at golf. Hope you enjoy your golf, Chris.

LADIES PENNANT:

The teams are back in action on Monday; Silvers are at Wanganui versus Rangatira Blue, starting from the 15th tee while the District team of Margaret Brislane, Sue Ross, Trish Cuttance and Margaret Alding will play Castlecliff at Levin, starting at the 10th tee. Good luck, ladies.

LEVEL 2 RULES COURSE PRACTICAL AND THEORY SESSION (MANAWATU-WANGANUI REFEREES)

We wish to advise that there will be a Level 2 Practical/Theory Session taking place on Tuesday 25 May, from 9.30am – 12.30am at Palmerston North Golf Club. This would be suitable for anyone that has completed a level 1 course and wishing to expand their knowledge of the rules to the next level.

For all members, or anyone within your club who might be interested in progressing through the level 2 rules course.

Anyone interested can advise Helen Dickins at jhdickins@slingshot.co.nz no later than Friday 21 May.

COIN-OPERATED HOT WATER FOR SHOWERS

To prevent unauthorised use (mainly by those POP members staying down at the Domain), hot water for the showers is now subject to a payment of $2 for 10 minutes of hot water. Put your $2 coin in the slot at the top of the white metal box in the alleyway. Unfortunately, members and legit players are collateral damage of this change

QUICK REFERENCE RULE BOOKS

If you purchased one of the quick reference guides for the new rules in 2019 and no longer use your copy or would like to sell it, I am interested in buying a couple back. I’ll pay you $20.

Please reply by return email to this newsletter.
