CONGRATULATIONS to Denise Galvin who was placed 2nd nett in her division at the ladies’ champion of champions on Sunday at Rangitikei. Our other representatives, playing 36-holes, Lisa Cotton, Margaret Brislane and Bronwyn Smith were unplaced.

We have heard that the men’s champion of champions (Chamberlain Shield) was not held on Sunday and will be confirmed for a later date.

RETURNING MEMBERS – Welcome back to Vic Oaten (9-hole), Gordon Herbert (summer)) and Margaret Alding who have returned to the club after a spell away. I am very delighted to announce that Margaret has indicated her willingness to take on the role of Secretary. Thank you Margaret, this is very much appreciated by the committee and members in general.

A REMINDER that this week’s haggle will be held tomorrow Wednesday 11th November instead of Thursday when the ladies are holding their Christmas Cheer. As always the ladies appreciate the cooperation of the Thursday guys. So far the field for Thursday’s tournament stands at 84.

CHRISTMAS CHEER – keep this date free – on offer will be $500 for the first hole in one scored.
