SECURITY ISSUE

The security people found our door open and the alarm not activated at 1.35 on Saturday morning. As they do not have access to our key or alarm pin number they called our cleaner out. This could have had very serious consequences – please, if you are the last one to leave the building after golf or if you pop into the building for something during the week, it is imperative that you remember to activate the alarm, correctly close and lock the doors, checking that the snib lock is properly engaged.

 LADIES’ PENNANT:

Championship pennant ladies suffered another defeat on Sunday at Feilding. The mixed team from Marton/Rangitikei – both past rep players were too good on the day, although one singles match went to the 17th. Lisa and Lindy play Manawatu at Wanganui this Sunday.

On Monday at Marton the Silver team had a half against Feilding while the District team had a reversal of fortunes from their last outing, losing 1-4 to Eketahuna.

MARQUIS SHIELD THIS SUNDAY AT MARTINBOROUGH: The first round of Marquis Shield is to be played this Sunday 1st March. At time of publication the team was not to hand. Good luck guys.

 PINS ON THE GREEN

There have been a few incidences of the pins being replaced in the WRONG HOLES on the greens. The holes are planned, and it is important we replace them correctly. If you move a flag into the alternate hole while putting you need to remember to put it back into the correct one. Thank you from the Greens Staff.

CLUBS NZ NATIONAL TEAMS TOURNAMENT (PEN HAWKINS ROSEBOWL)

Good luck to Tony (TK) Kerins and Mark (Tommo) Thomson who travel south to play in the Pen Hawkins team event at Templeton Golf Club in Christchurch on 3rd, 4th and 5th March. They represent the Tararua Club golf adjunct, and the host club is Hornby Working Men’s Club. Good luck guys.
